Problem Statement
In a college-level business and marketing class, adult learners struggled to engage with traditional learning materials, leading to a lack of motivation and incomplete coursework. Through a needs analysis and learning analytics review, I identified the need for a more interactive and immersive learning experience.
Solution Overview
I designed an interactive, gamified course to boost learner engagement and motivation. This comprehensive module empowers learners to develop a strong brand identity, covering essential topics such as:
- Crafting a compelling mission statement
- Developing impactful messaging
- Designing a distinctive logo
The module culminates in a scenario-based assessment that simulates real-world brand-building challenges. Learners can use the personalized menu to access the course and navigate directly to the final assessment.
Technical Highlights
I utilized Adobe XD for prototyping, Articulate Storyline for development, and AI integration to enhance the learning experience. Additional tools include Storyset.com for asset sourcing and Adobe Illustrator for image editing.
Module 2: A Guide to Pet Adoption

Problem Statement
A local animal shelter had a high rate of pet surrenders, with many animals being returned within 2-3 weeks of adoption. Through a needs analysis, it was identified that new pet owners may not fully understand the lifestyle requirements of different types of pets, leading to mismatches and unmet expectations. This course was designed to address this issue by providing an interactive learning experience that helps potential adopters assess their readiness and make informed decisions.

I designed an interactive course to support responsible pet adoption and reduce surrender rates. This comprehensive module guides learners through four essential topics to consider before adopting a pet:
- Space requirements for different types of pets
- Time commitments involved in pet care
- Financial responsibilities of pet ownership
- Lifestyle alignment with pet needs
The module includes a lifestyle alignment quiz that pairs learners with their ideal pet based on their unique lifestyle. From there, learners engage in a branching assessment tailored to their matched pet, helping them apply what they’ve learned to real-life scenarios.
Technical Highlights
I used Microsoft Word for storyboarding and PowerPoint for prototyping, with Articulate Storyline for course development. Additional tools include Freepik.com for sourcing assets and Adobe Illustrator for image editing.
